A Gracious Attitude and a Challenge

HelloMonday Yes, it’s Monday.  And I’m grateful.  I am alive.  I have a job.  I have a roof over my head.  I have food.  And yet I hear the plaintive complaint, “Oh (insert your favorite expletive here) , it’s Monday again.” without fail.  Why do we echo this refrain?  Are we truly this ungracious?  I cannot ever remember my dad complaining about it being Monday.  Maybe it’s a generational or cultural thing?  Maybe it’s group thing, I’ll complain because everyone else is complaining? I just don’t understand it.  Perhaps it’s because they want to conform to the social norm of complaining. Maybe it was their upbringing.  I was brought up to appreciate, to be positive, to share and to gracious.  If they were not, they can make a choice to still behave in a gracious manner.  I urge you to take the challenge below at least once and hope that you would continue it for the rest of your life.   I would love a comment about your challenge.  If you write it in your blog, post a link a too it here.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to not only have a gracious attitude on Monday’s , but to challenge those that down on Monday!  Greet them with a rousing, “Happy Monday!”  Let’s change the world, one Monday at a time.  Have an #AWEsome week!

Just wanted to say I love Mondays. I work retail & cherish a weekend off.(which isn’t often)
Monday is usually my day off. I use the day to recuperate and prepare for the rest of the week.

Fortunately I’m reading this on Tuesday, or I would have miserably failed the challenge! Mind, I’m not a big fan of Tuesdays either.
