Throwback Thursday: A Review

How is your week going? Was it planned out and chugging along according to plan? Is it completely off the rails? Was it another, I’m just going to take it as comes this week? How are you doing on the Monday Challenge? Do you know what you want?  Having at least a general idea is a start.  How about your To-Do List from Tuesday? Have you made a decision that things are better? This really is the first step. Having the right attitude is key. It always opens my eyes to opportunities. Having the right attitude puts you in the frame of mind open to opportunities. If you only believe in gloom and doom then that is all you will see. Take that first step and believe. Then ACT! Belief is the first, but by itself may make things seem worse. A solid belief requires action. Action will produce results. Rarely will those results be immediate. Stop and think about all the “things” that contributed to you and your life. You did not get to where you are over night and I would suggest that you won’t get to where you want over night. It takes belief, action and time.

Good luck on your journey. We all share the journey, just on different paths. My Grandma always told me, if you have the chance to reach down and help someone move along in their journey, do it. It costs you but a moment of time, but the satisfaction of helping another is something that will stay with you always. If you wish to share your journey struggles, high points, or smooth travels, I would love to hear them. Leave a thought or two. Maybe you will be the encouragement someone else needs to move along. Happy trails.

Sometimes serendipity is the most interesting. Some things do require a plan though. The key is not let the plan be so rigid that it can’t flex! 🙂

My road got a little bumpy this week, but I hope one day that I’ll be able to look back and see how much I’ve learned. Trying to glean some good and motivation because sometimes the road ahead isn’t necessarily on the rails.

I understand bumpy. But it sounds like you have the right attitude, “how much I’ve learned.” A couple of quotes that I like from Confucius:

“As the water shapes itself to the vessel that contains it, a wise man should adapt himself to circumstances.”

“When it is obvious that goals cannot be reached, do not adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.”

My grandma always said that things fall into two categories. Things you can do something about and you do it and move on and things you can’t, so you pray about it, give it to God and move on. Either way you end up not worrying about anything. Best of luck and I hope your bumpy ride ends well.
