A-to-Z 2015 Theme Reveal #atozchallenge

Well, I’ve gone and done it. I signed up to blog almost every day in April. If you are not familiar with the A-to-Z blogging challenge, you can check out more info on their blog here. My general topic will be:

Thoughts and Wisdom from Grandma

This will be a collection of Down Home Thoughts. Things that my grandmother said or ideas that she passed along to me that significantly shaped who I am and what I believe.  Why this as a topic you ask?  Well, if you have read some of my other blogs, I feel very strongly that we (society) can do a better job of promoting, teaching, improving and expecting good character in everyone around us.  Much of that was shaped by what I learned from my grandmother. This is what prompted me to start the #GotCharacter campaign to recognize good character in public.

I ask that if you find any great articles or examples of good character, please post a comment with a link here and tweet it with the hash tag #GotCharacter. I cannot change society by myself, I need your help. Together we can improve our world, one person at a time.

As of my writing this on March 10th 2014, there are nearly 1000 bloggers signed up for the A-to-Z Challenge.  I know you can’t read all of them, but I do home you stop and comment on a few.  And you are always welcome to leave a thought or two here as well 🙂  Drop by as often as you can give us a read.  You can find more really great blogs on the linky here. This will go to the sign-up page, then just scroll down and find a blog. Happy spelunking in the blog-o-sphere. Keep your eyes and your mind open. Perhaps you will find a good thought or two and share a few of your own.  Here is the schedule.

This sounds like a wonderful theme. As I never had much of an extended family, and was never really close to my grandmother long enough to inherit any of her wisdom, this will be a nice opportunity to “live vicariously” through the teachings of your grandmother. I agree we could all try to be a little better to each other. Looking forward to April. 🙂

Glad I can help 🙂 I hope that everyone that stops by can find a thought or two to take away with them and maybe share one or two while they are here. I’ll drop by and check out theme too!

    Hi Shawn,
Here I am embarking on your A-Z posts in May after finding you reblogged by one of the blogs I follow. This was my first year as well and didn’t realise people had a theme and so I loosely based my posts on a few ofd my favourite things. After muttering letters all though April, I am looking forward to chilling out a bit now. We’re also heading into Winter here in Sydney so
it’s hibernation time and catching up on heaps of reading xx Rowena

Thanks for dropping by Rowena! You don’t need a theme but it makes it more fun I think. I had a blast and am still getting caught up on reading all the great blogs that I found. I love Sydney although I haven’t been there since 1987. Have a great week! If you like the posts, let me know and share with your friends
