A-to-Z 2015 P is for Passion

Passion (from the Latin verb patere meaning to suffer) is a very strong feeling about a person or thing. Passion is an intense emotion, a compelling enthusiasm or desire for something. (Wikipedia)

Grandma was passionate about helping other, being a good friend and neighbor, spending time with and teaching her grand-kids, going to church, quilting parties, canning, making biscuits, and well just passionate about life. Her love of life and desire to help and teach taught me that to do something is good, but do it with passion, with intent, with joie de vivre, with meaning and joy is how one should approach any task. It helps me when I have an unpleasant or undesirable task to remember that when I finish that task, I can move on to things that I enjoy. Find one thing today that you are passionate about and do it. Live with passion!

Fabulous advice. I am fairly driven by passion myself. These are turning out so well! I’m glad you jumped in, and glad you chose this theme. It’s cool getting to know your grandma.

A really good sentiment to live by. At the moment, I have to temper my passion for writing with a job that brings in the money to pay bills (just until I sell a million books, y’know ;P), but realising I had to get on with the thing I really loved was what made me go part time at work, take the pay cut and give time to my passion 🙂
