Weekend Coffee Share Busy Edition

Weekend coffee share busy edition

If we were having a nice cup of coffee, I would be saying, “Wow, between wandering, working and writing, I haven’t had much time to stop and blog.” I have to tell you that I’ve started a new job, done a bit of weekend wandering and entered a short story contest at our local senior center writing club. The group has two published authors in regular attendance so I don’t feel too bad that my work came in fourth. Realizing my manners, I would quickly offer a beverage of your choice, hot or iced. Thus begins the Weekend Coffee Share busy edition.

weekend coffee share busy editionI hope things are going well with you and yours. What projects are you working? Any new and interesting developments? Me? Well, I’m still chipping away at my book, Forging Character. I have another in the “thought stage.” The new book is a work of science fiction. I may blog a bit about when I have more than a couple of pages of notes. Working the new job of course is a huge time consumer. I have a lot to learn and some really great opportunities. What’s going on with you? Is there anything that I can do to help?

Happening things

Speaking of everything that is going on, what do you want to see more of from this blog? I have many interests, hobbies and thoughts. All of which I am happy to share, but if no one really cares, then I have other activities that I can purse. What do you want to see here?

Please take the poll below.

Hi Claire, Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. I had time last year and got involved in the April A-to-Z challenge. Didn’t have time this year. There is always next year. 🙂

    HI Shawn,
I wanted to thank you for coming by my site today and “liking” my Meet and Greet. I hadn’t seen you in a very long time, and I was happy to see you. I read your post. You’ve been busy. I am also trying to write an Ebook, but is very slow going.

Hi Janice, I’ve barely had time to visit any of my blogging friends. Trying get back into the swing of things. Writing can be a very slow and iterative process I’m finding. Best of luck to you. What are you writing about?

This is my first time visiting your blog so I am not sure that I should weigh in on your poll, although I must say it brought a smile to my face, so thank you for that. That said, just in general photographs do seem to be something everyone enjoys viewing on a page. On a personal note, fiction and character development are great. Anyway, thank you for sharing.

Hi Shari, Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts. If I didn’t want to hear what people think, I would not ask questions or post polls. Thank you for your thoughts on what to share. Every thought is appreciated. Glad I could make you smile.

i keep wanting to check out the Senior Center to see if they might have a writing group or workshop or something but life keeps getting in the way. These days it seems that my life is not my own as I spend most of my time helping my daughter with the kids and taking the kids to the park or to the indoor playground. It never stops and when I think I have the day to myself, I get called to help her with something! One day I will get over there and find out what they have to offer.

Ho Corina, it’s nice that you are close enough to help with the grandkids. Kids are definitely time consuming but so worth it. I owe a lot to my grandma for all the time she spent teaching me things and just being a great example.
