Weekend Coffee Share Safari Edition
Since we are having coffee, I would inform you of a tale I have to tell. As you may or may not have noticed, I was absent from the Weekend Coffee Share last week. My lovely wife kidnaped me and banished all electronics in celebration of my natal anniversary. The Weekend Coffee Share Safari Edition is about this great weekend. I hope your last week has been stupendous.
My lovely wife arranged for a photo safari at Fossil Rim Wildlife preserve. We stayed at the Lodge inside the preserve. It reminds me a bit of the movie Hatari. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. It’s one of the lessor known John Wayne movies. The weekend felt like what I imagine living in Africa would be like.
Our guide was born in Kenya and his knowledge of the animals and the park are amazing. The professional photographer that accompanied our group of eight intrepid travelers displayed an equal degree of expertise. Everyone benefited from his many tips and suggestions about how to take better wildlife photographs.
Sorry for rambling on so, but it was a truly phenomenal weekend. Here are a few sample shots from the weekend. I will be putting up a photo album with more of my favorites after I get them all loaded.
I enjoy our coffee time together. I wish you well in the weeks ahead and may your endeavors yield the fruit that you desire.

Weekend Coffee Share Birthday Edition
If we were having coffee I would tell you that it’s been a great week. What is going on your world? My new job is awesome. My lovely wife and I have done a couple of fun road trips around Texas and tomorrow is my birthday. My birthday is the original Memorial Day, which I now refer to as bureaucratic Memorial Day. Damn Gubmint has to fool around all kinds of things they ort to leave alone. Anyway, this Weekend Coffee Share Birthday Edition chats about a few of those things. I hope things are going well for you and yours. Remember, life is what you make of it. Since my wife and I love to travel, we hit the road as often as possible to see what we can see.
This weekend we have been to Wichita Falls and Paris. Both in Texas. We had a great time traveling back and forth across north Texas and Oklahoma. Here are a few shots from the trip.

Weekend Coffee Share Travel Edition
If we were sharing a beverage, I would tell that it’s been a great week. We took a road trip on Saturday. You can see a few of the photos below. I wrote an article about Ways to be kind, earlier in the week to explore a topic for Forging Character. My lovely wife and I have done a 22 minute workout 6 days a week for the past 4 weeks. Boot camp is probably a better term. It’s been tough, but we are seeing some improvement. And the bonus is, I can still move. Come join us for the Weekend Coffee Share Travel Edition.

Road Trip East Texas
If we were sitting down to our favorite beverage, I would tell you that I had a great week. My lovely wife and I ended the week by hopping in the car and taking a road trip around East Texas. Ever since we found this great app called Roadside America Attractions, we love to find new, interesting and odd things to see and do. How was your week? Where did you go? What did you do? Tell me about it.
For example, Saturday we saw the grave of Shorty the Squirrel and a small town jail that held Bonnie of Bonnie & Clyde fame for a couple of nights. We visited the world’s richest acre and had a nice chat whilst driving around East Texas.
In Jefferson, TX we found a great little bar-b-que joint and an old-fashioned country store. After dinner, we hit the road again and headed home by the light of the full moon. We love getting out and seeing the sites via a road trip in East Texas or anywhere.
